One True Pairing Ship: Elena/Stefan. They love and completely respect each other and understand each other and help each other put on jackets and dance with each other in period outfits and sit at the tops of ferris wheels and climb waterfalls together and die for each other. They look at each other with total awareness (of each other’s faults) and yet also with total acceptance (love with the willingness to confront). And it is just perfect in every way. And hey, they make out (and tell each other “I love you!”) like EVERY EPISODE. Truly NOTHING WARMS THE HEART LIKE A GOOD ELENA/STEFAN SCENE.
Favorite Canon Ship: SEE ABOVE. Special runner-up goes to Alaric/Jenna, I guess.

 I have a different opinion. Damon sees just Elena and would kil everyone to keep her alive, while stefan loves Elena but at the same time he cares about the others and yes he thinks about collateral damage because we are talking about humans life and not just about Elena life. I just prefere Stefan’s way.

I think Elena does too.

I actually said in my head when Damon said that: and that’s why Elena loves Stefan. Because Stefan, as devoted as he is to Elena, probably because he is, gets that Elena would never be okay with letting everyone else die. And, you know, Caroline is his new bff and all of Elena’s friends are his family.
