#let me write a fucking novel about all the feelings this episode gave me about sophie and tara #tara called her ‘soph’ #for one thing #they bicker all the time about their differing grifting techniques but then they always come to the same conclusion #and then they make fun of each other and are all challengy and competitive #but then tara just reaches over and sweeps something out of sophie’s hair fondly #because that’s just how they roll #and they played it so subtle and perfect and you can tell they’ve been friends for forever #like we know tara and we know sophie and we know they know each other #but we never knew how they interacted #and now we kind of do but we have only seen a glimpse #oh god it’s perfect #and sophie is in white and tara is in black #and they throw the bomb out the window because they are grifters #and they don’t know how to deal with that bomb shit #and then they have a drink #somebody stop me #leverage #things that are totally canon: sophie and tara have had phone sex #and also a lot of real sex 

#oh god all of this #of all the ways they could have chosen to play this dynamic this was THE BEST #CAN WE JUST ADMIT THIS SHOW HAS THE BEST CANON ON TELEVISION #this is the most beautiful lady combo I’ve seen and I didn’t even have to imagine it #BEST CANON #leverage #this show is a magical unicorn born in a land of rainbows #I want to kiss this show on the mouth #I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING SO MUCH #soul stealers

So, the new TV year is upon us.

And I was thinking about how season 1 of Community was my overall favorite show that TV year (with shows like Parks & Recreation, The Vampire Diaries, and Doctor Who as outstanding runners up). And I was also thinking about how Parks & Rec was by far the clear winner THIS year (and Leverage was really the only thing anywhere close).

And that inspired me to compile a list of my “#1 favorite show” for about the past 10 years:

I swear sometimes I want to write love letters to everyone involved in this show’s writing for making this relationship one of the most believable, respectful, precious and carefully written relationships I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch. I feel like nowadays everything is about keeping the tension between two characters that are supposed to be together until you end up losing those characters along the way, but this show is doing such a great job with these two because you already know they’re gonna get there, and it’s their journey through all of it what makes them special. They’re not keeping the tension shaping the characters so they fit into that dynamic, they’re just letting them grow and evolve until they reach that point on their own. They come first as individuals who are still struggling with their past, trying to figure out what’s their place in this family and understanding that they’re not alone anymore, and you just know once they’re ready, everything will play out beautifully, but it’s how they get there what makes it perfect.

#oh my god #the way he says her name #it’s this sudden rush of relief and panic and the mere sound of her voice is enough to give him that second of hope because she’s there and he can hear her and even if it’s just a phone he’s not alone she’s with him  #WEEPING OPENLY

#THEY HAVE BEEN SO FANTASTIC THIS SEASON  #and i’ve seen people complaining that they’re weird or stunted or something but you know what fuck that  #they aren’t normal and that’s okay  #they are doing things in their own way at their own pace and it’s beautiful so you can gtfo trying to ascribe your normative ideas of how a relationship is supposed to work or be on them  #THEY ARE PERFECT  #otp 4eva  #i like how you turned out

HARDISON: Oh, see, that’s a little close to home, man. Need to switch that up. How many plans does Eliot die in?
NATE: Uh, none. [he points at Parker] And none.
PARKER: None!
NATE: [pointing at Sophie] And, uh… So, there is a plan where he [points at Eliot] comes out of it with a scar that goes from the temple through the eye all the way down to the mouth-
PARKER: [to Eliot] Ooh! You’d look so cool with a scar!
SOPHIE: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Can we go back? Let’s rewind.
HARDISON: Damn the scar, damn the scar-
NATE: [to Hardison] But you… you live in plan A.
SOPHIE: You skipped past me. You skipped past me.
NATE: No, you see, you see, it’s evolving. There’s a actually a plan-
SOPHIE: That’s creepy! Isn’t that creepy? He’s planning my death-
PARKER: To a glass eye!
NATE: I am- okay, here we go.

At the same time, this was OH SO TANTALIZING and left me craving A LOT MOAR.

Imma gonna interpret this and their closing scene in the last episode to mean that, parallel to what went down with Nate/Sophie, they are now SECRETLY TOGETHER. Yes please?
