One True Pairing Ship: Elena/Stefan. They love and completely respect each other and understand each other and help each other put on jackets and dance with each other in period outfits and sit at the tops of ferris wheels and climb waterfalls together and die for each other. They look at each other with total awareness (of each other’s faults) and yet also with total acceptance (love with the willingness to confront). And it is just perfect in every way. And hey, they make out (and tell each other “I love you!”) like EVERY EPISODE. Truly NOTHING WARMS THE HEART LIKE A GOOD ELENA/STEFAN SCENE.
Favorite Canon Ship: SEE ABOVE. Special runner-up goes to Alaric/Jenna, I guess.
“If this happens I’ll stab my eyes out with a spork” Ship: Elena/Damon obviously.
“You are one sick bastard” Ship: I don’t really understand the question.
“I dabble a little” Ship: It’s really all or nothing for me (usually).
“It’s like a car crash” Ship: Katherine/Everyone
“Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet” Ship: Uh… Katherine/Elijah maybe?
“Makes no canon sense but why the Hell not” Ship: This used to be Bonnie/Damon (kind of). Now I don’t really have one in this slot.
“Everyone else loves it but I just don’t feel it” Ship: The ship everyone else loves? LET’S JUST SAY I HAVE WAY MORE NEGATIVE FEELINGS TOWARDS IT THAN MERELY “NOT FEELING IT.” We all know what I’m talking about. We alllllllll know what I’m talking about. I may hate it more than a certain infamous “Z” ship IS WHAT I’M SAYING.

When I watched this scene I remembered Bonnie saying Elena was her sister and my heart. MY GIRLSSSSSSSSSSS.

This episode was about women. Don’t be deceived by Klaus’ awkward dance moves and Damon’s tiresome comments. It was about women. Women who are weak and strong and everything in between. Who smile and laugh and cry. Who find strength enough not to cower in the face of true cruelty and their own suffering. Even when it fucking hurts like hell. And sometimes they’ll break under that - because, guess what, sometimes this shit is too damn heavy (all of them, but Katherine, my god). Women who are cunning and wily and still driven by this incredible love they bear (Sheriff Liz, please don’t die). Who get excited about silly things. Who care about each other. Who love each other. Who will sacrifice everything to keep each other and those they care about safe. And not in a gross martyr way - in an I got your back and you got mine even if the stakes are this insane. Complicated, flawed, brave and sometimes not so brave. Ultimately human in the best and worst ways - I can’t. Please can we just get a spin off about them?

I can’t. No gifs. None for these feelings.

DIS EPISODE MAN. Just… DIS EPISODE.

I think the last time I have legit ever had that many ~*~FEELINGS~*~ about an TV episode was the “Vincent and the Doctor” episode of Doctor Who.

First the DYING of love and feelings about Mama Forbes & Caroline and Elena & Bonnie and Bonnie & Jeremy (and that Stefan/Elena OTP moment) and just plain Bonnie existing and then the utter PANIC AND HYPERVENTILATING AND DESPERATELY SAYING NO NO NO NO and then in the middle of that legit contemplating pausing it and looking up spoilers (in the middle of watching the episode). And THEN the sheer joy of ~*~FEELINGS~*~ and ~*~WEBCAMS~*~ and ~*~BONNIE-NESS~*~ (and Stefan being 110% supportive) and then DAT ENDING where Elena was all badass and “betraying” Damon.

SO Y-YEAH. I kind of liked this episode. JUST SAYING.
